Paul Rouse’s paper examines what happens when sports organisations sell their broadcasting rights to pay-tv companies. It looks, in particular, at what happened to the audience viewing figures for Leinster and Munster rugby matches when the rights to show those matches moved from RTE to Sky Sports.
The Desmond Fitzgerald Photographs, a stunning collection of images, has recently been made available to view on the UCD Digital Library website.
The significance of this letter is that it represents a rare glimpse into an important chapter in the history of Irish radical print journalism before the revolution.
